In Part II of the MPC Live/X beat tutorial, we get into how to sequence the new sample chops that were created. Billy Blass also explains assigning the new program to the track you want to record your sample on. Also, he goes into how to pitch your sample in Program Edit. In this part of the tutorial it’s all about the drums. Billy Blass explains how to load a drum kit program from the MPC Live & the software. From there he explains how to select your new track and assign your drum program to. Also he goes over how to use the 16 Level feature. He also gives a few jewels using the swing feature that will help your workflow. Lastly he explains the grid view and how to sequence your drums and do some basic sample editing in the sequence grid. Part V explains how to create a new sequence. Billy Blass also shows how to add new sample chop and bass patterns to the additional sequence. Once the sample chops are laid, He shows how to change start and end points and the move notes around in the grid view. Billy Blass explains how to export your final product in Part VI. Billy Blass starts with explaining how to create a song using Song Mode and your sequences together. Extremely disappointed that this isn’t available for members. You guys haven’t provided any content for members in a long ass time. I basically ended up paying for a lifetime membership for “sample pack saturday”
Your last “Industry Breakdown” was in Feb on 2018. The Ableton course is from 2015… I love you guys, but c’mon!
