SoSik Loops Vol.1

Hey guys, so today I just had a look-and-listen to Sikwitit’s latest loop pack,

SoSik Loops Vol.1. This pack made its way into my hands so now I’m giving you my thoughts and a general run down on what it had to offer!

Sikwitit is known for his unique, innovative and futuristic style. He has been a busy fella recently after being co-signed with some Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling producers, such as:

  • Symbolic One
  • Rockwilder
  • The Heatmakerz
  • Ken Lewis
  • !llmind!

His most recent catalogue of work includes Snow Da Product, the Tecate beer commercial and 50 Cent’s hit television show Power. Let me add that Sikwitit is a seriously dope producer, being a 10X Beat Battle winner, and an iStandard showcase champion! Say no more…

Ok, guys, just to let you know this kit comes loaded with:

  • A whopping 152 total sounds (all crafted by Sikwitit in Reason)
  • 109 loops total (including sounds and drum elements)
  • Additional elements (10 vocal chant loops)
  • Sound bites (43 instrument one shots)
  • Drum loops (5 full drum loops, 30 hi-hats and 12 percussion one-shots)

All of the sounds in the kit are royalty free and are in .wav format. That means that the sounds are compatible with any sequencer or sampler that accept the file format.

I also checked out the drum loop folder. The 5 loops inside were pretty sick and all sounded intricate, and highly polished. These loops have been excellently programmed, well processed, are futuristic and original.

The 30 hat loops included in this kit are also pretty sick! There is a lot of variety in the hat types offered and in the execution of the loops. You should be grabbing some of these and getting busy with them quickly, especially if you are looking for some pacey hat-and-roll patterns in 1/16 and 1/32 note triplets. This folder has legitimately got you covered!

The percussion loops folder is solid also. Lots of djembe, bongo’s and various other ethnic drum loops are included, along with a few snare rolls and some other little goodies for good measure.

The sound loops folder was probably my favorite folder in this loop pack. I found some really dope piano stabs, bass and synth loops, 808’s and super cool outer-worldly sounds. Really good stuff here! And, of course, very versatile!
