Cardiak Clinic Vol.2 Review

Cardiak Clinic Vol.2 Review

Wassup guys! It’s Woods here about to bring you a review on the second installment of the Cardiak Clinic Drum kit series ‘Cardiak Presents “The Clinic Vol2”. I am a fan of the Flatline kits Vol 1&2 so I was quite excited to dig into this kit to see what it brings, so let’s get into it.

The kit consists of:

  • 25 kicks
  • 33 Snares
  • 21 Hats (17 of which are recorded from a live drum kit)
  • 5 Sound FX
  • 15 Percussion sounds

All of these sounds have been handpicked and taken from past Cardiak productions. If you are like me, then you like deep thumping kicks, crisp hard hitting snares and this pack doesn’t disappoint.

The kicks are full of low end with some light distortion on some of them helping to fill the frequency spectrum a little more and help them cut through the mix. Some of the kicks sound the same but have been tuned to create slightly different tones. The snares are bright and crisp; many of them have been layered adding texture.

There are 4 pretty standard sounding high hat sounds but the 17 live high hats definitely make up for that. All of them sound really clean and have been captured really well. The claps are all multi layered creating the effect of multiple people clapping and have a dash reverb added to them.

The percussion sounds are made up of shakers, some of which have been layered (again adding more texture) and tambourines, with a few other percussive sounds added in for good measure. The 5 Sound FX included all have major stereo width and could all fit nicely over transitions, drops etc.

All in all I think this is a nice sounding kit with plenty of options to keep you going for while. I give this kit a rating of 13 out of 16 pads, and it’s definitely one to check out. Until next time, peace. Woods
