Surround Yourself with Like-Minded Producers

Whats up MM?! AG here with another producer tip for you. By now I’m sure you know what kind of producer you are; or at least have an idea of what kind of producer you would like to become. So today I wanted to touch on surrounding yourself with producers like you.

If you are strictly a boom bap producer that loves 90’s hip hop, it may be wise to find communities that cater to that type of production. This way, not only will you feel a sense of camaraderie but you will be able to draw inspiration from others as well. If you love to experiment with music look for some experimental music groups to join. Same with Dubstep or EDM. With the World Wide Web there should be plenty out there for you to choose from.

There’s nothing worse than being in an environment that doesn’t allow you to grow. We as people have a need to be accepted, but sometimes it’s best to work alone until you find a group that’s just right for YOU. No need to allow outside influences the opportunity to take you off your path of making great music and becoming the producer you know you can be!
