Stix Jam Pack Vol. 2 : Sonically Vintage Review

Stix Jam Pack Vol. 2 : Sonically Vintage Review

Whats good MM crew! I am back with another dope drum review to share with the community. Stix Jam Pack Vol.2-Sonically Vintage Drum Breaks & Drum Fills presents us with some awesomely trill drum sounds. Stix; currently the drummer for Chance The Rapper, equips us producers with 151 killer sounds from original breaks, one shots and heavy drum fills. Recorded & engineered by Stix himself through a Coles Ribbon mic that offers a crispy frequency response with clarity along with a vintage sounding signal chain.

Out doing the previous version of Vol.1, Stix really showcases his drumming skills in Vol.2. With every hit you can feel the soul and the energy of this young genius. Although its created to authenticate a vintage texture, these new modern patterns really separate themselves from other live drum kits circulating the production scene. Others aren’t bad bad but can be a on the stiff and robotic side. SJPv2 presents swag, rhythm, soul with head snapping breaks that producers are always looking to achieve to get the room moving.

This kit is a monster and can be used for all genres and all situations. From stand alone to layering; SJPv2 is literally “Jammed Packed” into one folder. I would’ve preferred the sounds being labeled a little bit better, such as which files are breaks, fills, hats and so on. But with joints this cold I don’t mind investing the time to organize and relabel for easy browsing while in Maschine.

Listed at the standard drum kit price at $24.99, this is a kit that you can not pass up. Us producers that are drum kit hoarders, this is a must for the collection. Check out the sound cloud preview below and grab this next level Stix kit and get to banging out bangers!
