KICKS AND SNARES MONSTER KIT REVIEW

KICKS AND SNARES MONSTER KIT

When looking for drum kits, we are looking for those snares and kicks with certain characteristics that will make our beats stand out. Its like we are creating this super arsenal of sounds to make guaranteed heat. BIG SOUNDS! With the Monster Kit you’ll get that and more. Our people from www.kicksandsnares.com bring you this awesome stadium sounding kit that will take any beat to the next level. Its equipped with 35 kicks and 35 snares that are processed very well with the crack to cut through your mix.

Starting off with the kicks, these joints BANG! With a great bottom to them that really fills the pocket added by a nice top end to give you that snap. A nice variety of kick sounds to choose from. The snares are also a plus within the Monster kit. The thing that sticks out is the crack these snares have. I love the body of the snares for fullness and the great 5-7k of brightness. For sure these will cut through the mix on any type of beat. I wish the snares were as versatile as the kicks were. A lot of the snares do share the same tones with a little bit of tweaking. With the 35 snares, not all will be totally unique. Another great point this kit has is the mild distortion applied. With added distortion it gives the kicks and snares this gritty type feel that adds a different element. That means less adding later within Maschine by turning the ADSR and Bit parameters. No need to use eq boosting, if anything you would take away to carve out your overall mix.

The Monster Kit is definitely a beast when it comes to huge sounding drums. I feel that these drums will work with all production styles, especially RnB. These are the type of drums that really take up space in a slower tempo/ballad joint needs to fill out. My request for the Monster series is to have a percussion kit. With that you can layer the kicks or snares that really would compliment each other adding a different texture. Monster kicks and snares, need monster hats! Pick up this kit asap for that instant BANG OUT!
